It never ceases to amaze me how many media outlets, broadcasters and publishers continue to rely on so many of same old clichés and images of both World Wars on the Eastern Front. Since Stavka began, almost 30 years ago, conflict in this region remains as misrepresented and misunderstood as ever.

 

For this reason Stavka has also developed it's own consultancy practise,  be it written guidance or providing the correct images for articles, TV programmes, such as the Netflix series ‘The Last Tsar’ or for Peter and Dan Snow’s Great Battles series for the BBC. It’s part of the service Stavka provides that is increasing steadily as clients value accuracy of image/caption, speed of turnover/response and a thorough/in-depth knowledge of the topic that doesn’t compromise their writing style. After all, I don’t want Stavka associated with poor, ill-informed books, articles or programmes that I wouldn’t want to read or watch.
