Our website and instagram feed are designed to act mainly as a reference and contact point. Hopefully by browsing both you'll get an idea of the scale and quality of our image collection. Please remember what we show online is but a small selection of what is available in the STAVKA image library.
Our photo lease service is the heart of our business and is designed to be a customer friendly as possible. Here's how it works:
You get in touch with us here, outlining how we can help.

We'll send over email a ZIP containing a range of images that cover your chosen area of need. This is all part of the service and does not place any obligation or cost in your way. We’re confident that we can match your wants so don’t charge for this research service. We will include images that match your criteria but some may be slightly ‘left field’. We’d rather you had too much choice than limit your scope.

What happens next is entirely up to you. The jpeg samples are all supplied with a unique reference number so ordering is easy. Just quote the reference numbers of the photos and the high resolution type (e.g. Tiff or jpeg) you want and leave the rest to us.

STAVKA operates on a seven day a week basis as we are very well aware that your schedule may not conform to normal office hours. All emails will be answered within 24 hours if not sooner.

So where do these images come from and what about copyright?

STAVKA takes copyright and intellectual property rights very seriously as they underpin all our dealings with individuals and media companies. STAVKA images are all covered by letters or agreements of copyright from the provider either an institution or individual.
​
The vast majority of the Russian and Soviet images have been sourced from institutions in Russia whereas the German and Axis photos come mainly from private collections.

Naturally the relationships developed between STAVKA and its providers are vitally important and to ensure mutual trust and respect the credit lines provided by STAVKA must be strictly adhered to.
